Finding great music is what we love
During our time in the music industry, sharing music that we love has always reigned supreme. This project is an effort to do exactly that in a new way for us. Starting with an idea for a single specific playlist, we wanted to broaden that scope to be as encompassing as possible in the world of heavy music.
This isn’t our day job, but it is a passion. We’ll try to bring as much great music to you as possible, so stick with us, and your support is greatly appreciated!

Lou Wheeler
Founder
Lou has been involved in the Sacramento music scene in various ways for over 20 years, from playing in bands to concert photography and more. Hella Heavy started from a desire to showcase some of his favorite Sacramento bands as well as other music that should be showcased.
Currently, he plays bass and does production in the metal band Kill Day 6, and has a new photography portfolio site at louwheeler.com.
